Students enjoyed reading, “A Color of His Own” by Leo Lionni. After reading, we used watercolors on cardstock to paint a chameleon of our very own. Some students chose to make their chameleons one color. Others chose to have chameleons that were many colors. It was fun to see the variety!

I learned a pro tip during this project! A veteran teacher suggested using plastic plates instead of cups to limit spills. So much easier!
